I go all &#8220;Ooh, I&#8217;ve never seen one of those before&#8221;. Brackets are particularly interesting because they give you options for building things &#8220;sideways&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this set, there are some lovely new right-angle pieces &#8211; a 2&#215;2 L bracket, a 2&#215;1 L bracket and a  2&#215;2 T bracket. The 2&#215;2 brick in the photo below I&#8217;ve seen before in 1&#215;1 and 4&#215;1 form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wis.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/IMG-2928-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-770\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wis.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/IMG-2928-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.wis.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/IMG-2928-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.wis.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/IMG-2928-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m particularly interested in the 2&#215;2 L bracket as the short side is the other way round from the ones I&#8217;ve seen before.<br><br>The ones I&#8217;ve seen before have the studs on the 2&#215;1 side facing outwards &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bricklink.com\/v2\/catalog\/catalogitem.page?P=44728\">https:\/\/www.bricklink.com\/v2\/catalog\/catalogitem.page?P=44728<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new ones have the studs on the 2&#215;1 side facing inwards &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bricklink.com\/v2\/catalog\/catalogitem.page?P=99207\">https:\/\/www.bricklink.com\/v2\/catalog\/catalogitem.page?P=99207<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m having a go at building the marble run components invented by JK-Brickworks (see <a href=\"https:\/\/jkbrickworks.com\/marble-run-system\/\">https:\/\/jkbrickworks.com\/marble-run-system\/<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/ls9K1SkRxyQ\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/ls9K1SkRxyQ<\/a>). Below, you can see two bridge pieces on the left and tower piece on the right. The bridge pieces use 2&#215;2 L brackets with studs out on the 2&#215;1 side<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wis.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/IMG-2925-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-772\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wis.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/IMG-2925-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.wis.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/IMG-2925-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.wis.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/IMG-2925-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If I use the brackets I found in my new set, I can get the bridge pieces a lot closer to the tower.
